Tapestry
What is Tapestry?
Tapestry is a secure online Learning Journal to record photos, observations and comments, in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, to build up a record of your child's experiences during their time with us. This system allows us to work with parents and carers to share information and record the children's play and learning in and outside of the classroom.
How does Tapestry work?
Tapestry provides each individual child with their own Learning Journal held online. Parents and carers are given their own log in using their email and password (which is pre-set by us but can be changed by you to make it more secure). All our staff are given a secure log in. They can then upload observations, photos or videos; recording children's achievements and assessing their learning in reference to the EYFS curriculum. Parents can change their settings so that an email is then automatically generated informing them when an observation has been added so they can have a look and add any comments of their own
Who can access Tapestry?
As parents/carers you both can access Tapestry by letting Nursery know any email addresses that you wish to link with the system (limited to 2 per child)
Where do I start?
Once you have given us an email address, we will set up an account for you. Go to https://eylj.org/ on your computer. Or if you have an iPhone/iPad please visit the iTunes store and download the Tapestry app from the Education section (search for Tapestry Mobile). If you have an Android/Tablet, search for Tapestry learning journal and download. Login using your email address and the password we give you. We strongly
recommend that you change your password on your first visit.

We've put together a handy guide to help you along the way in using Tapestry and any questions you may have. Please read through it and if you have any questions contact us.
A Place For Play and Learning
We believe that creativity, play and learning. Children develop and learn their most important skills by playing, it's the way they understand the world and process important skills for use later in life. Thankfully due to our location we have a large amount of outdoors space where you'll find us multiple times of day.

This is charged seperately due to the cost to the pre-school to bring in an external organisation. If you want your child to participate please contact us to set this up.

About Us
Welcome to Sticky Fingers Pre-School, we are a charity pre-school based in the quiet village of Templecombe where we have had the privilege of operating for over 30 years, providing pre-school education for two year olds all the way to compulsory schooling age.
We are run on a daily basis by our qualified pre-school manager, and managed by our outstanding committee of volunteers who lead the direction of the school. Our setting is based in the grounds of the Abbas and Templecombe Church School in a purpose built building is purposely designed for little ones in mind. With lowered basins, counters and more. It allows the children to get more involved and active participate in cookery, preparing their snacks and feel more involved, giving them their ever evolving independence.
