Meet The Team

Sam Collinson
Setting Manager & DSL
Hello, I'm Sam, the Manager of Sticky Fingers. As a dedicated and passionate early years professional, I'm thrilled to lead our talented team in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for our children to thrive. On a personal note, I'm a proud parent to a wonderful son, who has now grown up but still keeps me on my toes at home! When I'm not spending time with my family, you can find me enjoying the company of my gorgeous dog, who always keeps me active and entertained. In my free time, I love to explore the countryside with my family in our touring caravan, creating memories and making new ones along the way. And, as a bit of a travel enthusiast, I also have a passion for cruising–there's something about the ocean air and the excitement of discovering new destinations that always leaves me feeling refreshed and inspired. As Manager of Sticky Fingers, I'm committed to ensuring that every child receives the best possible start in life. I'm excited to meet your family and work together to support your child's unique journey. Please don't hesitate to reach out to me directly to discuss your child's needs or to learn more about our preschool community

Heather Holland
Deputy Manager & DDSL
Hello, I’m Heather, deputy manager at Sticky Fingers Preschool. I work closely with our manager and team to ensure our preschool provides a neutering and engaging environment for our little ones. When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my two children and enjoying family activities. My two furry friends, our pet cats, always keep me company! We’re also fond of exploring new places, especially on family holidays to the beautiful landscapes of Wales or the stunning coastlines of Devon. In my free time, you can find me cheering on my favourite racing drivers, including my husband who competes in hill climbing events or curled up with a good book. I'm passionate about supporting our team and delivering exceptional care and education to our children and their families.

Lana Doe
Early Years Practitioner & Dental Lead
I have always dreamed of working within a childcare setting, wanting to help children learn and develop through play and help them with new experiences and learning fun. I studied my NNEB Crèche Diploma at school and loved every minute of learning within that environment and throughout my placement settings with children. I worked in a nursery with children from six months up to 4 years and was room leader in preschool where I enjoyed helping the children learn and get ready for school. I left to become a mummy. I am married and have two wonderful daughters, as a family we enjoy taking small trips away and holidays together, we have just returned from our first magical holiday to Disney world and have made so many wonderful memories. In my spare time I enjoy reading books or watching a good film on the TV and spending time with my family. In my role as an early year's practitioner, I enjoy all aspects of children's learning and like to play and be silly with the children as well as helping them learn. I am also the toothbrushing lead and ensure that all the children take an interest and enjoy brushing their teeth after lunch every day.

Alicia Milverton
Early Years Practitioner & SENCo
My name is Alicia; I joined Sticky's in 2023 and I’m an early years practitioner and the SENco. In my spare time I love spending time with my family, going on days out and holidays making lots of special memories. My hobbies include reading, watching films and my most favourite hobby is building Lego and expanding my collection. In my role I prioritise taking the time to play with and support children building strong & trusting relationships, celebrating all their individual achievements and working as part of the team to provide the children with the best setting we can. As SENco I work hard to ensure the setting is inclusive to all our children’s needs and liaise with outside agencies to provide the best possible support to each individual and their families. A personal highlight of my job is watching the children grow and flourish into amazing confident individuals. Getting to work with families and being trusted to care for their precious children is a real privilege. You will often find me sharing stories with the children, getting messy during craft activities or creating with construction toys.

Rebecca Butler
Early Years Practitioner & ENCo
In my role as an early year’s practitioner, I enjoy all things musical and creative and can usually be found singing and dancing or getting messy and muddy! I have a strong interest in children’s musical development and how we can use music and singing to support all areas of learning. I am also the Equality Named Co-Ordinator within the setting. I am passionate about ensuring that everyone is treated equally and that all children have the same opportunities. I enjoy working closely with parents and families to ensure the best outcomes for all children, celebrating each child’s individuality. Fun fact, I attended sticky fingers as a child myself, nearly 30 years ago! I have two beautiful daughters who I am very proud of, as a family, we enjoy being outdoors perhaps walking on a nice beach somewhere or getting away on holidays together making special memories. I have a passion for singing and will always be the first one up at a karaoke night! I like getting cosy in front of a good TV series or film, I am a big harry potter fan and I enjoy building Lego in my spare time. I am a big foodie and love cooking good food for my loved ones or heading out to new restaurants, nothing makes me happier than being with all my family enjoying a nice meal or BBQ. I keep myself busy looking after our family pets including our sausage dog, two fluffy cats, tortoise, guinea pig, hamster and giant African land snails.
